Day 1 to day 3: Rio de Janeiro

Get to know the culture and history of this fascinating city. However, Rio de Janeiro offers magnificent mile long beaches as well: Who hasn't heard of Copacabana or Ipanema? Experience the unusual contrast of the biggest lush forest in the world, all within a city!

Day 3 to day 5: Foz do Iguazu
Neither words nor pictures will meet the awesome power and beauty of the waterfalls– They have to be seen and heard! For thousands of years they have been a holy sepulcher for the tribes of the Tupi-Guaraní and Paraguas before being discovered by the "white man”". The region boasts one of the best preserved virgin forests in the country; rich in bromeliads, orchids, cedars and araucarias. In the national park of Iguazu there are sparrow-hawks, woodpeckers, owls, "Macucos" and herons as well mammals like apes, tapirs and otter.

Day 5 to day 6: Manaus
Manaus is the capital of the Amazon and is situated on the river Rio Negro, eleven kilometers from the Amazon River mouth. Between 1870 and 1910 the city got well known due to the rubber boom, being the only supplier for a long period of time. Today, Manaus is not regarded for its uncured rubber anymore but instead for its grand theatre as well as its tour-trips into the very exuberant species-rich virgin forest.

Day 6 to day 8: Amazon - Dolphin Lodge

Day 8 to day 10: Salvador
Salvador is the capital of Bahia. Most of the 5 million Africans who were brought into slavery by the Portuguese arrived there. They were sold at the central slave market in Salvador, the so-called Pelourinho (engl.: pillory). The influence of Africa still can be seen today, through language and religion. Also the fight-dance of "Capoeira" is a heritage from those days and Salvador is the centre of this activity.

Day 10 to day 14: Island Morro de Sao Paulo
The heavenly island "Ilha de Tinharé" - better known as "Morro de Sao Paulo" - is situated about 80 km south of Salvador, Bahia. Here we are offering an unforgettable holiday experience in a tropical ambience without hassles and traffic. Popular activities are diving, surfing, microlite flights and of course parties on the beach every evening. A special extra will be provided to visit the picturesque neighboring village of Garapuá where you can taste a fresh coconut from the plantation, or enjoy a boat trip to the island Boipeba. The Pousada is located on a small hill. A breath-taking view in a idyllic paradise is waiting for you!
