Stay Fit During Your Brazil Holiday - Part 1

Stay fit while traveling with just a few tricks
Of course, you want to enjoy the most beautiful time of the year. Therefore, it is important to take care of your health before and during the Brazil trip. Because such a vacation can quickly become strenuous for the body - many new impressions, unfamiliar climate, jet lag. Nothing is more annoying than lying ill in a hotel bed. So here are a few tips on how to stay fit in any case.
1. Especially at the beginning of your trip, you should take it easy. The body has to process the jet lag and come down after months of preparation and work stress and adjust to the relaxation mode. Some Brazilian tourists like to forget this and plan as many activities as possible in the first week. That is too much. Even while traveling you should always allow yourself a few days of rest. Use the time to look at photos, reflect on what you've experienced or provide your friends and family back home with reports.
2. Healthy nutrition is just as important on the road as at home. Now, with the many new delicacies in Brazil, it is easy to forget the nutritional value sometimes. It should be clear to everyone that fried is never good, even if there is a banana in it. The fresh "sucos" (fruit juices) look healthy, but they are high in sugar. So always order "sem açucar" (without sugar). However, Brazilian cuisine with its fresh fruit, vegetables, rice, beans and seafood offers the perfect basis for a healthy and balanced diet. A great trick is to try unknown and delicious types of fruit on-site. It's best to ask locals or the tour guide where to find a market.
3. To stay physically and mentally fit, it is especially important to supply the body with sufficient fluids. Especially in a hot and tropical country like Brazil, you should make sure to drink two to three liters of water every day. Try to avoid soft drinks, as they extract valuable minerals from the body. If you want it to be a little tastier, switch to a freshly squeezed juice (without sugar) or refreshing coconut water rich in vitamins. You should avoid drinking from unsealed water bottles and drinking tap water.
4. Whether bathing in crystal clear water, practicing sports or relaxing on the beach: please always remember to use sunscreen! It is recommended to take sunscreen products with a high sun protection factor. In Brazil, these are expensive and not available everywhere. If you pack a large bottle in your luggage, you are on the safe side. Ideally, you should also use a hat or cap.
5. Wash your hands. One of the easiest but most effective tricks is to wash your hands regularly and thoroughly. A small disinfectant gel is also practical when traveling. You can buy this gel in any drugstore to match your handbag.
If you follow these simple tricks, you will stay healthy and hale during your Brazil trip. Next week is all about sports. We will tell you how to stay active in Brazil.
