Our Brazilian Portuguese language trip takes you to Florianopolis, the capital of the state of Santa Catarina. Florianopolis, which is mostly located on an island, regularly tops polls of the best quality of life in Brazil. Your language course will include 3 hours of instruction 5 times per week, including all teaching material and on-site English-speaking support. The school is in Lagoa da Conceicao, a small yet lively district of Florianopolis. Lagoa da Conceicao boasts dunes, mountains, and the largest lagoon on the island.

Our Language Course in Florianopolis

Your English speaking guide will pick you up at the airport and take you to your accommodation. Normally, we will accommodate you in a pousada in Florianopolis, just two streets away from the language school, for the duration of your course. However, it is also possible to organize a stay with a host family. On the way to your accommodation, your guide will show you the language school and give you some insider tips and ideas for other activities besides the language course.
At the language school in Florianopolis, you can choose between individual or group lessons. The group lessons will take place in groups of 3 to 12 participants, if available. The 30-hour language course lasts 2 weeks from Monday to Friday with 3 lessons daily. The course places great emphasis on active participation and practical lessons. This includes a visit to a supermarket or a bank. All students will receive a textbook with plenty of extra exercises, and you can use the school's own library for self-study and further learning.

Florianopolis – Our Destination for Language Courses in Brazil

Our language courses take place in Florianópolis, but we can also organize courses in other regions of Brazil. Floripa, as the city is called by its inhabitants, is the capital of the southern state of Santa Catarina. It frequently tops polls of the highest quality of life in Brazil. The city is located on the Ilha da Santa Catarina and on the mainland, with the two parts connected by the Ponte Hercilio Luz, the longest suspension bridge in Brazil. Florianópolis is the perfect location for a language trip to Brazil. Here you will not only find a great language school to learn Portuguese, but also glorious beaches, Atlantic rainforest, cliffs, mangroves, dunes, lakes, and waterfalls. Surfers, hikers, and sports enthusiasts are especially spoiled for choice in Floripa.
The language school is located strategically in the small but lively district of Lagoa da Conceicao. There are numerous bars, cafés, stores, and cultural attractions in the surrounding area. What qualifications do the language teachers have?

All our language teachers are native Brazilian Portuguese speakers, are educated to at least Bachelor's level, and have experience teaching Portuguese as a foreign language.

Can language trips be shorter or longer than 14 days?

Yes, the minimum duration is one week. Of course, Portuguese courses for more than 14 days are also possible.
