Pousada La Chimere is situated in a quiet part of Buzios, only 165 feet (50 meters) away from the beautiful bay Ossos. Buzios is a former fishing village with about 30.000 inhabitants in the state of Rio de Janeiro and about 110 miles (180 kilometers) away from the capital of the same name. The city center of Buzios, with its restaurants and shopping facilities, is located in the immediate vicinity of the Pousada La Chimere and can be reached within a few minutes walk. Numerous other beaches are close by and can be reached by car. Buzios is a very popular tourist destination and can get crowded in the summer holidays between January and Carnival. The best way to visit Buzios is to take a transfer from the international airport in Rio de Janeiro, that offers daily flights to North America and Europe.
