The white water kayaking on Cubatao River tour first leads through slow water before it gets more challenging because of narrow and faster white water. This varied day trip from Florianopolis offers amazing views, a lot of adrenaline and at the end of the adventure an optionally cliff jumping.
Itinerary
Our tour guides pick you up at your hotel/pousada in Florianopolis with a private van. We arrive at the river in the little village Vargem Grande. The rafting team welcomes you and do a quick briefing. Equipped with life vest, helmet and paddle we get into the kayak and paddle down on Cubatao River. Every participant has his own kayak with his guide. On the first kilometer you learn the technical part of how to handle the paddle, because the water is more quiet at the beginning. Soon the last houses are left behind and the mountains and rainforest of Serra do Tabuleiro offer a beautiful view. The kayaking gets more challenging as we get down the river, the white water gets narrow and fast. The fast parts are always followed by slower parts, that invites for a bath. After passing numerous falls we arrive at a bay, where we can optionally do a jump from a cliff of 5 meters. This is the last station of our white water kayaking adventure. After arriving we will take you back to Florianopolis and to your hotel/pousada.
