Our daytrip takes us to the beautiful city of Blumenau, which was founded by German immigrants. You can still experience the German influence and the German culture in many parts of the city. Blumenau is especially famous for the second largest Oktoberfest in the world, which is celebrated since 1983 and attracts over 500.000 visitors each year. The guided tour through Blumenau begins in the historic center of the city. We will visit the "sausage street," the cathedral "Sao Paulo Apostolo", the Carlos Gomes Theatre, the Town Hall, as well as other colonial buildings. Hereafter we will also visit the mausoleum of Dr. Hermann Bruno Otto, the former founder of Blumenau. The exciting tour ends with a visit of the "Fritz Müller house" that adduced the largest insect collection in the world.
