The charming Pousada Solar da Opera is a small accommodation in colonial style, located 2,000 feet (600 meters) from the main bus station of Ouro Preto and just 160 feet (50 meters) from the main plaza Praca Tiradentes. A visit in Ouro Preto is like a travel in time, the historic center takes its visitors back to the colonial era. The traditional main avenue in all the Portuguese colonies, called Rua Direita offers numerous bars, cafes and restaurants. The next international airport is located in the capital Belo Horizonte and can be reached in 3 hours, depending on traffic.
