From here you have near instant access to all of the city's sights of the colonial town Paraty, in the south of the state Rio de Janeiro. Pousada do Principe is located in an beautiful colonial building, surrounded by tropical plants, close to the historical center of Paraty. Numerous bars with live music and good restaurants, as well as the harbor, are close by. Paraty is located on the Atlantic coast between the two largest cities of Brazil - Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. The international airport of Rio de Janeiro is 155 miles (250 kilometers) away and can be reached on a shuttle bus.
