Casa Lavinia is a family-run accommodation in a completely renovated colonial building from the 19th century and is located in the old town of São Luis, which is part of the World Heritage since 1997. The building was largely preserved in its original state during the renovation and offers large salons, verandas and a typical garden in the courtyard.

Pousada Casa Lavinia is located in the historic center, close to restaurants and bars, the city beaches of the peninsula and the international airport of Sao Luis. The historic building of the Convento das Merces Monastery with the Music Academy and large gardens, which invite you to take a walk, is also in the immediate vicinity. Five minutes away on foot is the quay Praia Grande. From here, boats leave daily for Alcantara, an old fortification that is now used as a satellite launch base.
