Brazil: Artists from Florianopolis
September 09, 2013

Born in 1966 in Porto Alegre, Luciano Martins discovered his love for art at a very young age - his dream was to become a comic book illustrator.
But first, he began his career as a publicist in his hometown, before he moved in 1992 to his chosen home, Florianopolis, after winning numerous national and international awards. As a partner of a successful advertising agency, he began to put his ideas on paper more and more often and realized his first vernissage in 1997.
After further successful exhibitions in the following years, Luciano decided to shift his focus to painting in 2008 and has also owned his gallery in Florianopolis for some time.
The painting bears the name "O Linda" (in English "Oh beautiful"), about the city of Olinda.
