Brazil has beautiful beaches

The most beautiful beaches of southern Brazil

Now that winter has finally arrived with snow and temperatures below freezing, the thought of a trip to Brazil brings warm thoughts. Who wouldn't want to leave the cold, wet weather at home and go on a Brazilian vacation with sun, sand, and sea? A pearl for surfers is the picture perfect beach of Praia do Rosa in the south Brazil. On a 1.2 mile (2-kilometer) long, fine-grained sandy beach, numerous surfers search for the perfect wave. And the conditions are often more than perfect for both kite surfers and surfers alike.

For those who prefer to relax on their Brazilian vacation, the friendly fishing village of Praia do Rosa has a lot to offer. Numerous cozy, alternative cafes and restaurants invite you to linger. Those who like to shop will certainly find a new favorite item or a souvenir in one of the small stores to remember their trip to Brazil.

The destinations in the south of Brazil are ideal for a family vacation, but surfers, party people, and nature lovers will also get their money's worth... in short everyone will be sure to enjoy themselves. Those considering a trip to Brazil should take a closer look at the round trips in the south of the country if they are looking for destinations far away from European mass tourism. Those on a trip in this region between July and November may even have the chance to spot one of the mighty right whales that come amazingly close to the coast each year to give birth to their young. Fortunately, whaling is now banned in Brazil and various organizations are working to protect the whales.

Praia do Campeche beach, also popular with surfers, is excellent for whale watching. Just off the coast is the beautiful island "Ilha do Campeche", which is known as fantastic location for snorkeling and swimming. If you spend your Brazil trip in this region, don’t miss the chance to visit to "Ilha da Magia", the island of magic, located in the capital, Florianopolis. Floripa, as the city is affectionately called by its inhabitants, is the capital of the state of Santa Catarina, and definitely belongs at the top of a Brazilian vacation bucket list for.

The beaches of the south inspire vacationers visiting Brazil just as much as the locals, for whom these beaches are popular destinations on the weekends. Also, the World Surfing Championships took place in this region in 2010, with international champions such as Kelly Slater and Taj Burrow taking part.

Even with a well-established infrastructure, there are still many secluded corners to be discovered on the beaches of southern Brazil. The fishing village of Guarda do Embau, for example, is a small paradise worth exploring. In addition to an organized town center with nice cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops, there is a beautiful beach that is separated from the village by the leisurely flowing Rio da Madre River. If you don't want to wade through the chest-high water, you can have one of the many fishermen bring you to the beach by boat.

Garopaba, along with Florianopolis, is the surfing capital of Brazil. While Praia de Garopaba, with its calm waters, is very safe and therefore ideal for children, waves up to four meters high arrive at Praia da Silveira, making this location a surfer's dream.
In addition, the beaches of the south naturally offer vacationers pure Brazilian flair on their trip to Brazil: sunshine galore, crystal-clear, turquoise water, majestic rocks, the finest sand, and a pure summer feeling that quickly makes you forget the winter.
