Itinerary
Day 1: Manaus | Boarding | Rio Negro | Meeting of the Waters
Included: Boat Excursions to the Seringal Museum and to a local indigenous community (in-group) | Lunch, Dinner
Meet your host at 8:00 AM at your hotel in Manaus and transfer to the Zaltana Riverboat on the Rio Negro. Check into your cabin, meet the crew, and enjoy a welcome cocktail with Amazonian inspiration on the upper deck during your journey towards the impressive Meeting of the Waters, with the possibility of spotting river dolphins along the way.
Lunch on board. In the afternoon, visit the Vila Paraíso Rubber Plantation Museum, an open-air museum that presents a historical overview of the rubber cycle in the Amazon. The day concludes with a cultural visit to a local indigenous community, learning about their traditions, crafts, and way of life.

Days 2 - 4: Upstream navigation | Cuieiras River | Anavilhanas Archipelago | Jaú National Park

Navigation along the Cuieiras River and through the Anavilhanas Archipelago, followed by a guided walk through the forest to observe the Amazonian flora and fauna. After lunch on board, departure for wildlife observation activities in canoes or motorboats, with chances of spotting pink river dolphins, macaws, sloths, and the famous manakin bird, especially in the Jaú National Park region.
At the end of the day, dinner on board and the option of a nighttime excursion to observe nocturnal wildlife, deepening the immersion in the forest.
Exploration of the tranquil Tumbira Lake, with a visit to a riverside community to interact with local residents and learn about sustainable practices. Hike along forest trails, followed by a canoe trip to contemplate the lake's rich biodiversity.
Each day ends with a return to the boat and dinner inspired by Amazonian cuisine.

Day 5: Downstream navigation | Acajatuba Lake | Manaus | Airport transfer

- The Zaltana boat offers regular departures. Please ask us for available dates.
- The Amazon region can be visited all year round. However, it should be noted that the water level between October and December can be so low that the river's smaller tributaries cannot be navigated.
- The itinerary can be adjusted according to weather conditions. The order of excursions may change and animal sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Uakari Lodge is about a one-hour flight west of Manaus in the Brazilian Amazon region. The local airport in Tefe is 1.5 hours away from the Mamiraua Reserve, where Uakari Lodge is located. This last part of the transfer is made by boat.
