Uakari Lodge is about a one-hour flight west of Manaus in the Brazilian Amazon region. The local airport in Tefe is 1.5 hours away from the Mamiraua Reserve, where Uakari Lodge is located. This last part of the transfer is made by boat.

Location
The Mamiraua Reserve is located near the confluence of the Rio Solimoes and the Rio Japurá and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Uakari Lodge is the only accommodation available on the reserve and the best place for visitors who would like to observe jaguars in their natural habitat. The small town of Tefe is 1.5 hours away by boat and offers an authentic experience of a city in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest.

Uakari Lodge consists of 7 floating units and has a total of 5 bungalows, which include 10 comfortable rooms of 270 square feet (25 square meters) each. All of them equipped with the following:
- Private veranda
- Two beds with mosquito nets
- A magnificent view of the Amazon Rainforest
- Private bathroom

The main building with the reception, a restaurant, a bar, a video room, a small library, and a pool with natural water is located on different floating units.
Children from the age of 12 are welcome at the lodge.
As the lodge invests in clean electricity, it is mainly generated by solar energy. Therefore, electrical equipment such as cameras, mobile phones, tablets, and computers can only be charged between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. when the sunlight is at its strongest.
