Brazil's Beaches are among the Top 10 in the World

April 11, 2022
The Baia do Sancho on Fernando de Noronha

Pristine beaches, white sand, crystal clear waters, unique vegetation, and great water sports. Tripadvisor has listed the best beaches in the world to visit in 2022, based on the number of reviews received and points awarded. The number 1 spot is in the Caribbean, the beautiful Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands, a British territory in the Atlantic Ocean. However, Brazil is also very successful again this year and is represented in the top 10 worldwide with no less than three beaches. These are Quarta Praia, Baía do Sancho, and Baía dos Golfinhos, whose visit you should not miss during a Brazil trip!

Quarta Praia, Morro de São Paulo

Quarta Praia, the "Fourth Beach", in Morro de São Paulo made it to the 4th place. Before Morro de São Paulo became one of the most popular places for tourists from all over the world, the Quarta Praia region was considered almost deserted, as few people had the habit of passing by there.

The beach stretches for eight kilometers and is considered the longest of all the beaches that belong to the island. It is a very thoughtful place with calm waters and is ideal for those who want to experience a relaxing beach day. The landscape is characterized by long coconut trees, clear sand, mangroves, and natural pools where you can see enchanting corals.

The Quarta Praia of Morro de São Paulo is an ideal place for those who want to get in touch with nature. On the contrary, Primeira Praia is much visited by surfers due to its high waves, and Segunda Praia is recommended to those who like to have good parties.

Baía do Sancho, Fernando de Noronha

The beautiful Baía do Sancho on Fernando de Noronha is ranked 7th, but is not among the most beautiful beaches in the world for the first time. The beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, and it's no wonder! The seawater on this beach has a magnificent hue and is rich in large and small fish. If you like watching marine life, don't forget your snorkel!

Currently, there are two ways to reach the beach: by sea or by land. The overland route involves descending a staircase carved into the rock with 208 steps. If you prefer a more relaxed approach, you can reach Baía do Sancho by taking a boat ride.

Other attractions very close to Baía do Sancho include Baía dos Porcos, the Morro Dois Irmãos viewpoint, and the Sancho Waterfall, which forms only during the rainy season.

Baía dos Golfinhos, Praia da Pipa

One of the most beautiful beaches in Pipa is Baía dos Golfinhos, which ranks 9th in Tripadvisor's world ranking. The highlight of Baía dos Golfinhos is definitely the dolphins that can be encountered and observed from time to time in the bay.

Access to this beach is a bit difficult, as it can only be reached via the Praia do Centro or Praia do Madeiro beaches located on the lateral side and at low tide. It is also very important to keep an eye on the clock because you should return before the tide comes in. Nevertheless, Baía dos Golfinhos is a wonderful place with an impressive view. There are some simple tents where you can enjoy a delicious juice or a cold beer, ideal places to recharge your batteries. It is a relatively quiet beach, because of the limited access path, there are not many visitors or street vendors. Resting, listening to the sound of the sea, and looking at the colorful cliffs is the best thing to do there.
