Only 2 weeks? This is the best itinerary for 2 weeks

September 13, 2021
Rio is a highlight in Brazil

Two weeks are not enough for a great Brazil vacation? We will be happy to convince you of the opposite and show you what you can experience at this time. Of course, even we can't pack all of Brazil's sights into two weeks. But we would be on the road for a few months anyway, and you don't have that much time for a vacation. So just use the precious time you have and experience two wonderful weeks in this fascinating country! If you find it difficult to relax in your familiar surroundings at home, Brazil will give you the change of scenery you've been longing for. And it will be colorful, full of music and impressive nature. We will take you with us!

First stop: Rio de Janeiro

Day 1 to 3

Hardly anyone wants to miss a visit to the Cidade Maravilhosa during a trip to Brazil. And here in the southeast of Brazil, the journey should also begin. If you would like to arrive in peace and quiet after your journey, you can start quite relaxed by exploring the beautiful beaches of Rio de Janeiro. Perhaps you will ring in your vacation with a first Caipirinha at the Copacabana. We recommend that you spend at least three days in the metropolis. This way you can discover at your own pace all the highlights of Rio, such as the famous beaches, the legendary Statue of Christ, the picturesque old town, and Sugarloaf Mountain, and start your vacation with great first impressions.

Second stop: Foz do Iguaçu

Day 3 to 5

From Rio, you will reach the city of Foz do Iguaçu on the Argentine border in about two hours by plane. Here the next highlight is already waiting for you. The largest waterfalls in the world are among the most beautiful natural spectacles that you can discover on this route. The long journey is worth it for this alone. You should plan two days here because this way you can enjoy the view from the Brazilian as well as from the Argentinean side. After the first days of city life in Rio, you can make your first acquaintance with the diverse flora and fauna of Brazil. The national park is rich in bromeliads, orchids, and other exotic plants. And with a little luck, you will also see monkeys, owls, and tapirs.

Third stop: Manaus and the Amazon

Day 6 to 9

A 7-hour flight with a change of planes takes you to the north of Brazil. A window seat is especially worthwhile here because the landing approach alone is an absolute highlight. Take a look outside as you fly over the gigantic Amazon region and slowly approach the metropolis of Manaus in the middle of the Brazilian jungle. Right here is our first destination. Arrive first and get used to the tropical climate. And to the unusual city life in the middle of the jungle. But of course, we want to dive into the depths of the rainforest, so you should plan a stay in an Amazon Lodge. There are all sorts of things to do from here. Go on a wild jungle safari, discover the small villages of the locals, and be amazed by the incredible biodiversity in the Amazon!

Fourth stop: Bahia

Day 10 to 14

Out of the jungle, back to civilization. After just under seven hours, you will arrive at the coast of Bahia in northeastern Brazil. The beautiful capital Salvador with its historic old town invites you to stroll around.
Now that you have been on a journey of discovery for over a week, it is time for some deceleration. Along Bahia's coconut coast you will arrive directly in the beautiful village of Imbassaí. A little sleepy and with absolute dream beaches, the village is the ideal place to end this exciting trip with lots of relaxation and recreation.

And that's how quickly two weeks can pass. But one thing is certain: you have made the most of your vacation days! Here again are the highlights of the route at a glance:

  • Brazilian city life: experience Rio de Janeiro with all its highlights
  • Gigantic water masses: feel very small in front of the world's largest waterfalls in Foz do Iguaçu
  • Fascinating jungle metropolis: discover Manaus
  • Brazilian rainforest: walk through the depths of the world's largest and most biodiverse rainforest
  • World cultural heritage in colonial style: spend a day in the beautiful old town of Salvador da Bahia
  • Brazil's coast and its dream beaches: feel the breeze on your skin along the beautiful coconut coast
  • Simply let your soul dangle: beach vacation in Imbassaí
