Juma Amazon Lodge is located 62 miles (100 kilometers) southwest of Manaus, surrounded by the Amazon Rainforest. The lodge is built at the riverside in the middle of the Rainforest. The building and all services are following the rules of sustainability, in order to reduce the impact of tourism in the Amazon. The lodge offers a variety of day trips to the local natural and cultural sights, here you can experience the Rainforest and the Amazon river in all its beauty and diversity.

The Amazon is the largest state in Brazil and is also home to a large part of the tropical Rainforest and its main rivers. The Rio Solimoes and the Rio Negro flow together only a few miles from Manaus, the capital of the state of Amazonas, forming the Amazon River. Juma Amazon Lodge is located 62 miles (100 kilometers) southwest of Manaus, surrounded by the Amazon Rainforest. The lodge is built on the riverside right in the middle of the Rainforest. The bungalows are built on wooden stilts in solid ground to ensure the safety of the guests during the rainy season. All elements are made of local materials to avoid the import of exotic materials, that could endanger the ecosystem.
Rooms and Facilities
Juma Lodge has 19 guestrooms. Six of them have views of the rainforest and are located between the reception and the restaurant. They are close to each other and are therefore ideal for families with children. Another 12 cabins are riverfront, and located in an larger section of the hotel with more privacy. One cabin offers a panoramic view over the local lake. All rooms are equipped with:
- Outdoor balconies with hammock
- Ceiling fan (no a/c)
- Private bathrooms with solar-heated water
Other services and amenities of the lodge include a restaurant with local and international cuisine, a swimming pool and a beautiful view of the lake. There is also a social area with a bar, games, books, and a professional telescope. The chill-out area with various hammocks is especially popular with guests after dinner or after longer day trips into the jungle.
Check-in: The regular transfer in the morning departure at 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. at your hotel in Manaus. The pick-up time varies depending on the hotel. In the afternoon the transfer departures at 1:30 p.m. from the international airport in Manaus or the Juma Opera Hotel in Manaus.
Checkout: The regular transfer out arrives in Manaus at 12:00 noon.
- Please note that your luggage for the lodge should not exceed 22 lbs (10 kg) per person. The rest of your luggage can be stored temporarily at the local office in Manaus.
- Additional lodge visitors can join the day trips and the transfers to / from Juma Amazon Lodge. However, this does not have to be the case.
- The itinerary can be adjusted due to weather conditions and animal abundance on site. Animal sightings cannot be guaranteed.
All bills accumulated at the lobby bar must be paid in cash. The bar does not accept credit cards.
